SELECTMEN’S MINUTES

Date:  August 11, 2010

 

 

I.      OPEN MEETING

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm with Don Carroll

leading the pledge of Allegiance.

 

A.   ROLL CALL

Donald Carroll, Brenda Clark, George Hockstadter, and Terry

White.

 

B.   MINUTES OF THE MEETING

 

1.     Approve Town Meeting Minutes of July 28, 2010

Upon motion by George Hockstadter, seconded by Terry

White, it was voted 4 to 0 to approve the Minutes of July 28,

2010 with the correction of spelling of the work (illegible).

 

C.  QUIT CLAIM DEEDS 

                        None

               

            D.   WARRANT

           

1.        Payroll Warrant – Approve warrant  #  5

Upon motion by Terry White, seconded by George

Hockstadter, it was voted 4 to 0 to approve Warrant #5

 

2.        Expenditures – Approve warrant  #  6

Upon motion by Terry White, second by Brenda Clark, it was voted 4 to 0 approve Warrant #6

 

E.    BOARD OF ASSESSORS

            A major glitch in the system will cause the taxes to be committed at

            the next regular scheduled selectmen’s meeting.

 

II.    OLD BUSINESS

Terry White reported that the flag pole has been fixed???????

 

 

 

 

 

III.   NEW BUSINESS

1.    Gary Bellefleur Cemetery Plot

Don reported that Gary is buried where his family wanted him to  be buried, but the remaining lots to left of Gary are all ledge, and no one can be buried in them.  Don suggested to the Board to move all the lots to the right and eliminate the lots nearest the road.  Consensus of the Baord was to move the remining 3 graves to the right of Gary’s grave.

 

2.    Amy Butler (Librarian Request)

Amy Butler requested to be paid her Library Stipend quarterly

Upon motion by George Hockstadter, seconded by Terry White,

The monetary payment request was granted by a vote of 4 to 0.

 

3.    Appoint Library board

The following people were appointed to the Library Board by a

Vote of 4 to 0.

      Mary Annett, (Chair)

      Delores Butler (Treasurer)

      Amy Butler, (Librarian)

      Sue Foss (Secretary)

      Becky Anderson

      Laurie Arena

      Suzanne Trussell

      Kay Marcoux, (Honorary – non voting)

 

4.    Delate Road

Don Carroll informed the Board that he had received a

Complaint from Brenda Richie, whom lives on the Wolfboro

End of the Delate Road.  Miss Richie complained that Richard

Webber blocked off the road.  Mr. Webber indeed did block off

the road because of Miss Richie’s son is raising the devil in

there.  Upon request, Mr. Webber will unblock the road.  It was

also noted that the Delate Road is a Discontined for maintance road.

 

 

     IV. COMMITTEE REPORT

           A.  ANIMAL CONTROL        Nothing                                 

           B.  APPEALS BOARD         Meeting coming up on Monday,

                  August 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Don Carroll and George hockstadter

                  Stated that they feel the variance should be granted by the

                  Appeals Board.  

C.   CEMETERY        Nothing

D.   CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER   Nothing                                           

            E.  E911          Nothing

            F.  EDUCATION           Nothing

            G.  EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS COMMITTEE    Nothing                      

            H.  EMT/RESCUE                 Nothing

             I.   FIRE DEPARTMENT    Nothing        

            J.  MEETINGHOUSE           Don Carroll reported that the mold is

                 Coming up thru the floor a little.  George Hockstadter state that the filters should probably be changed.

K   PARKS & RECREATION         Meeting on August 10th proved to

have the same 4 to 5 people show up to get involved.    

L.  PLANNING BOARD         Nothing

            M. PLUMBING INSPECTOR         Nothing          

N. RECYCLING & SOLID WASTE COLLECTION         Don reported that

there have been a lot of bins on the sides of the road and the

Numbers are still up.                    

            O. ROAD COMMISSIONER      Road work is going well, and as scheduled.

P.   STATE LEGISLATIVE CORRESP      The next meeting will be in

October.

Q.   TREASURER

1.            Signature Stamp

Don Carroll reported that the Audiors visit to the office

Went very well.  The one recommendation from the
Auditors during their visit was to get rid of (destroy) the

Rubber signature stamp.

Upon motion by George Hockstadter, seconded by Terry White, it was voted 4 to 0 to destroy the signature stamp.

S.   MEMORIAL COMMITTEE        Nothing

Nothing

 

V.           TRAINING

 Nothing

 

VI.          PUBLIC COMMENTS    

Marlene Webber informed the Board that she has located a

flatbed trailer for the veterans to ride on during the Stetson

Day’s Parade.  The trailer will be donated free of charge.

IX.          ADJOURNMENT

Upon motion by Terry White, seconded by George Hockstadter,
