MEETING MINUTES

I. OPEN MEETING
A.
ROLL CALL : George Hockstadter, Gerald Button, Brenda Clark, Gary Bellefluer, and
Donald Carroll.
Guests:

Mr. Hockstadter welcomed the new
selectmen and opened the nominations for the Chairman of the Selectmen Board.
Mr. Button motioned to have the
chairman vote by secret ballot, Mrs. Clark seconded the motion and it voted
unanimously.

Donald Carroll - 1
George Hockstadter - 3
George Hockstadter is the Chairman
of the Board.
Mr. Hockstadter welcomed the new
board members and John Bigger as the Road Commissioner.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING

Motioned, seconded and unanimously voted to
approve the June 20, 2007 minutes.

Motioned, seconded and unanimously voted to
approve the payroll and expenditures warrants.

II. OLD BUSINESS -

III. NEW BUSINESS
A.
Swear
in new selectmen
The new selectmen,
Brenda Clark, Gary Bellefluer and Donald Carroll were previously sworn in at
the Town office.
B.
High
Speed DSL Internet
Mr. Hockstadter reported
that DSL has now been installed at the Town Office.
C.
Sign
Contracts – Snow plowing, garbage, cleaning, cemetery mowing, municipal mowing
All the above contracts
were signed by the Selectmen and witnessed by the clerk.
D.
Deed
for Damn Road
Mr. Hockstadter showed a
copy of the deed stating that the Damn Road is a Town owned road and noted that
we have maintained it over the years.
E.
Spring/Fall
Clean Up
There will be no Spring
Clean Up because spring has gone bye.
The Board will look into a Fall Clean Up on October 13, 2007. Jim Garnett will pick up any metals if called.

A. Historical Society had meeting minutes
are available at the town office.
These minutes were available to be read.

MEETINGHOUSE
A. Complaint on mice and refrigerator not
being cleaned out
The
complaint has been dealt with and the refrigerator has been cleaned by Mrs.
Merrill. Shelves will be fixed.
L.
PARKS & RECREATION
A. Ice Social for Farm League and Little
League kids July 10th @ 6:00PM @ Stetson Elementary Ball Field
Parks and Recreation Director Roger Collins
were present and addressed the residents with their concerns. The spring was very wet and the work
on the field did not get completed.
There were also concerned of “stacked teams”; Roger explained that was
not anyone’s intentions, but certain children have to ride with certain
children in order to get rides to and from the events. Roger again addressed the concerns of the
$92.00 for coach’s jackets, and again asked for volunteers. (also see attached
report)

SESSION

The new safe has been repaired and the combination set for free.
**
July 18, 2007 is the meeting at the school dealing with consolidation.
**
Next Selectmen’s Meeting is scheduled for July 19, 2007 (Thursday)
because of the school meeting on the 18th.
**
Connie Merrill requested to plant trees between the food cupboard and
the meeting house, the selectmen agreed.
**
Terry Moore requested that the Town web-site be updated with new select
persons, and staff, and the minutes updated.
She noted that the young residents of Stetson live on computers today
and this may be a way to get them involved.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
